Captain's Log, Stardate 11306.30
Location: Yummy's Greek Restaurant, Denton, Tx
Captain Klark and Lieutenant Commander Kalamity took a shuttle to Denton to rendezvous with members of the USS Regulator and the USS Trinity River (STARFLEET), the IKV Melota (KAG), and the USS Joshua (Independent). As Klingons, we invaded and conquered "Yummy's", a provider of food from the Earther region called "Greece." The food was good, and except for some leaves in a bowl the Earthers called "salad," it was easy to eat properly (with one's hands!)
The company was enjoyable, and many tales of glorious deeds were shared. Following the repast, we signed a document stating the inhabitants of "Yummy's" were conquered this day -- in Earther-speak, it was called a "Certificate of Appreciation". Images of the brave warriors were taken, and we adjourned.
Three shuttles then proceeded to a Denton store called 'DJo-Ans Fabriqs" (or some similar Earther thing) at which we requisitioned materials for the construction of additional Klingon clothing.
This was a wonderful day, wherein all of today's members of the Lone Star Warriors' Association gathered unto themselves much glory and honor.
The next Good Day to Dine will be at Pappadeaux Seafood, at 1304 East Copeland Rd, in Arlington, TX, at 1600 hours.
Klark, commanding Maelstrom, out.

Location: Fort Worth Stockyards
Captain Klark and Lieutenant Commander Kalamity took a shuttle to Fort Worth to join with representatives of the IKV Melota (KAG), the USS Joshua (Independent), and the USS Trinity River (STARFLEET) to celebrate the Lone Star Warrior's Association's Good Day to Dine for the month of March, 2013. Many tourists excitedly took photographs of the warriors as we walked through the stockyards. Eventually, the group settled upon a hamburger place called "Trail Boss Burgers" to seize and conquer. This was, upon reflection, probably a bad decision, as the servants were sub-par, and the food was, at best, marginally acceptable. Thereafter, many stores were visited, and some items were acquired by the visiting warriors.
The next GDtD will be on Sunday, June 30 at 1500 hours, at Yummy's Greek Restaurant in Denton, TX.

Location: C.R. Smith Museum, Fort Worth, TX.
The glorious crew of the IKS Maelstrom met with a landing party from the USS Regulator at the American Airlines C. R. Smith Museum near DFW Airport. The tour was awesome. The museum is home to many exhibits of civil aviation history, and includes items like models, uniforms, equipment, engines, helmets, and tools. Currently, there's an exhibit called "Black Wings", which informed us about the history of negro aviators (such as the famous Tuskegee Airmen.) The museum is also home to a DC-3 that guests are allowed to enter, sit in, and explore. In my opinion, the DC-3, called the "Flagship Knoxville" was worth the entry fee by itself.
After the tour, the crews visited the museum's gift shop, where most of us acquired treats of Freeze Dried Ice Cream as well as other mementos of our visit.
Immediately following, we journeyed to near-by Grapevine to enjoy lunch with the DFW Area Browncoats, a loose organization of Firefly/Serenity fans in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The Browncoats have a rotating meeting schedule, and go to three different restaurants in the DFW area: the Ol' South Pancake House in Fort Worth, the Main Street Bistro in Grapevine, and a place in Richardson the name of which escapes me. I have attended a few meetings in the past at the Fort Worth location, but this is the first time In a long time I've had the first Saturday of the month off.
In short, another successful mission. Glory to the Empire!

The crew of the IKS Maelstrom joined members of the IKV Melota (KAG), the USS Trinity River (STARFLEET), and the USS Joshua (Independant) to hold a Good Day to Dine in Addison. The local tera'nganpu' were suitably overwhelmed by our glorious invasion, and much food was enjoyed. The manager of the establishment was called to our table, whereupon we presented him with a certificate, proclaiming to all that Tokyo One was allowed to survive our invasion. Plans were made for the next Good Day to Dine to be held in Fort Worth, where we will invade the Stockyards, eating whatever we want, wherever we want. Landing parties are to rendezvous at the Turntable at 3pm Saturday 30 March (Stardate 11303.30) Kai the Lone Star Warrior's Association!

Location: First United Methodist Church, Decatur, TX
The captain and first officer set up a station in uniform at the FUMC's Trunk-or-Treat. Many tera'nganpu' visited us, thinking we were in some sort of costume for their Earther holiday of "Hallowe'en," but one or two recognized us for the warriors we are. One expressed strong interest, and was given contact information for the ship. This one hopes we have found someone who will join us in our quest for glory and honor.
Regardless, much candy was distributed to the tera'nganpu'.
